FTSE 350
An index tracking UK mid-cap and large company shares. Its constituents cover about 90% of UK market cap.
Mid-cap
A company with a medium market capitalisation. Companies in the FTSE 250 index is considered mid-cap.
Small cap
Companies with a low market cap; they make up only a small part of the market by market cap but a large part by number.
