Free cash flow
How much money a company could pay shareholders out of profits without expanding, but without running down its existing operations either.
Capital intensive
Requiring high capital investment relative to the size of the business. Such businesses will tend to face high depreciation charges and operational gearing.
Cashflow statement
A statement which shows the movement of cash (i.e. spent and received) during a given period.
Tobin's Q
The theory that over or undervaluation can be measured by market value of assets ÷ replacement value.
