CFA

A Chartered financial analyst (CFA) is a member of the CFA Institute. Members who have passed the CFA exams are allowed to use the CFA designation (i.e. letters after their name).

In general the CFA institute functions as a professional body in much the same way as, for example, the accountancy institutes. Although US based, it is very global for a professional body, with little in the way of rival qualifications.
