Dominance

A strategy dominates another if it is guaranteed to lead to a better results.

In financial economics, the assumption that a dominant trading strategy cannot exist leads to several important results. It is closely related to the no arbitrage assumption.

The concept of dominance also occurs in other areas, such as game theory. In game theory dominance can be used to analyse games and identify which strategies would be used.
