Cash flow
The amount of cash a company actually receives or pays. There are several measures in common use.
Cash flow per share
The cash flow generated per share: cash flow ÷number of shares in issue .
Operating cash flow
This is the amount of actual cash made by a company’s business.
Dividend discount model
A financial model that values shares at the discounted value of future dividend payments. This is theoretically the most correct way of valuing shares.
Valuation ratios
A measure of how expensive a share is obtained by dividing a measure of cost against a measure of value or profits.
