Long position
An investor who has a holding of a particular security has a long position in it.
Contract for difference (CFD)
An abbreviation of contract for difference. An agreement to pay an amount based on the change in some underlying number, not necessarily a security.
Bear
An investor who is pessimistic about the prospects for a market, a sector or a particular security.
